Information You Submit
Search forms send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details you put in the message and use them only to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs containing an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or comparable technology may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
The information described above helps us run the site, diagnose faults, measure visits, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles about individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to Maryland government portals, Montgomery County records offices, library collections, and outside search services. Each destination follows its own privacy policy. Information entered there is subject to that service's rules rather than ours. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results, which an outside company provides.
When Information Is Shared
Vendors that host or support the site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information noted above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, but do not otherwise share visitor data.
Our Data Safeguards
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as the stated purposes require. Because there are no user accounts, the site holds no user password or account profile.
Users Under 18
The service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted such information, and we will remove it.
Privacy Choices and Rights
Your location may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, effective October 1, 2025, establishes Maryland consumer rights and is enforced by the Maryland Attorney General. Because we retain little information, a request will usually involve our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Public records kept by Silver Spring-area, Montgomery County, or Maryland agencies remain beyond our control, so requests concerning those records must go to the relevant custodian.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will appear here. Your continued use after a revision signals acceptance of the updated terms.
